In short

Keepframe's image compressor reduces image file size in your browser: set a maximum such as 20 KB, 100 KB or 1 MB and it finds the highest JPG or WebP quality that fits, scaling the image down only when quality alone can't reach the limit. Or use a quality slider. It handles up to 50 JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or BMP images at once, shows the new size and saving with a before/after slider, and downloads everything as a ZIP. Free, no sign-up, no upload.

FAQ

How do I compress an image to 100 KB?

Drop the image, keep Target file size selected, click 100 KB and Compress images. The tool tries qualities from high to low and keeps the best one under 100 KB; if even low quality is too big it scales the image down a little.

How do I compress a JPEG without losing quality?

Use a generous target (for example 500 KB or 1 MB) or the Quality slider around 80. Photos usually shrink 50–80% at quality 80 with no visible change — check it with the before/after slider.

Can I compress a PNG?

Yes. PNGs are converted to JPG (or WebP if they have transparency), which is usually much smaller. If you need a lossless PNG, this isn't the right tool.

Is WebP better than JPG?

WebP is usually 25–35% smaller at the same visual quality and keeps transparency. Use JPG if the site or form you upload to only accepts JPG.

Can I compress many images at once?

Yes, up to 50 per batch with the same settings; Download all saves a ZIP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression runs on your device with the browser's encoder; nothing is sent to a server.

Why couldn't it reach my target?

Very small targets on large or detailed images can be impossible even after scaling down. The tool keeps the smallest result it made and marks it; try a larger limit or the Also limit longest side option.
