Free AI Watermark Remover

Paint over a watermark, logo, date stamp or text — AI fills it in and every other pixel stays original. Free, no sign-up, full resolution, processed on your device.

For images you own or made yourself — your photos, your AI generations, screenshots you're allowed to edit. Don't use it to strip someone else's watermark or copyright notice from their work. It removes visible marks only; invisible provenance marks such as Google's SynthID are not touched.

Need more? Upscale the result 4×, remove the background, or change the whole scene with AI (first edit free).

In short

Hold Frame's AI watermark remover cleans visible marks from images you own: paint over a watermark, logo, caption, date stamp or small object and LaMa, an open AI inpainting model, fills the area from its surroundings. It runs in your browser, so it's free with no sign-up, no credits and no upload, and the download keeps your original resolution — only the painted area changes. Use it on your own photos and AI generations, not to strip someone else's copyright marks; invisible marks like SynthID are not removed.

FAQ

How do I remove a watermark from a photo for free?

Drop the image, paint over the watermark with the brush (cover it with a little margin) and click Remove. Repeat on any leftovers, then download. No account, no credits.

Does it reduce image quality?

No. Only the painted area is replaced; every other pixel is your original at its original resolution. The filled area is generated at up to 512 px around the mark and blended in.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The AI model downloads once (92 MB) and runs on your device with onnxruntime-web.

Can it remove big watermarks across the whole picture?

It works best on marks that cover a small part of the image — logos, text, date stamps, corner stars. Large tiled watermarks leave too little real image to rebuild from.

Is it legal to remove a watermark?

Removing your own watermark, or marks from images you created or have the rights to, is fine. Removing someone else's watermark or copyright notice to reuse their work can break copyright law and platform rules — don't.

Does it remove AI watermarks like SynthID?

No. It removes visible marks only. Invisible provenance watermarks embedded by AI providers stay in the file.

Can it remove objects or people too?

Yes, small objects, blemishes and photobombers work the same way: paint over them and click Remove. For bigger changes try the AI image editor.
