Real before & after

Before-and-after photo variation examples with clear invariants

The source remains recognizable because every example specifies what stays and what changes.

The control other tools hide

You don't pick a model. You pick what survives.

Most img2img tools give you one abstract “strength” slider. We turn it into decisions a human actually makes.

Keep — hard constraints

Locked items become model routing, region masks and post-composition — not just a sentence in the prompt.

  • Face — it's still the same person. Identity reference plus face-region protection.
  • Subject — the product, pet or object keeps its shape, logo and key details.
  • Composition — pose and layout stay put via structure and depth control.
  • Text & Logo — original pixels are preserved, never re-drawn by the model.

Change — creative freedom

One tap per intent. Each chip compiles into a structured instruction with the right negative constraints.

  • Style — anime, watercolor, film, 3D, oil paint and 40+ more.
  • Background — a new scene behind an untouched subject.
  • Outfit — swap clothing while the person stays the person.
  • Lighting — golden hour, studio, neon night, overcast.

Subtle

Light touch: tone, light, small edits. Routed to precise editing models.

Balanced

The default. Obvious change with stable identity and layout.

Creative

Big reimagining. Structure loosens — fine details may drift, on purpose.

Three steps

From photo to finished image in under a minute

Upload & auto-detect

Drop any JPG, PNG or WebP. We recognize portraits, products, sketches and interiors, and pre-lock what usually matters for that kind of image.

Lock, describe, set strength

Toggle what to keep, tap what to change, pick Subtle, Balanced or Creative. No denoising values, no seed numbers, no model menus.

Compare, download, iterate

Slide before/after, download free with no watermark, then keep editing the result with plain language — no re-upload needed.

Prompt templates that fill the tool for you

Tap any template — it configures keep, change and strength, then scrolls you back to the studio.

Complete guide

Photo variation examples you can recreate from one source

These photo variation examples show a controlled way to repurpose an approved image. The goal is not a random alternate photo: it is the same subject and framing under a different light, background, season or finish. Use the examples to choose the smallest useful change, then compare the result directly with the source before continuing.

What you can make

Relighting an approved photo

Move a daytime image toward dusk, golden hour or soft studio light while the subject, viewpoint and object positions stay fixed.

Repurposing campaign assets

Create seasonal or channel-specific photo variations from one approved hero instead of restarting the visual direction for every placement.

Testing backgrounds

Swap only the environment behind a portrait or product. Edge quality, scale and believable contact light become the review criteria.

How to get a controlled result

A three-step workflow for Photo Variation Examples

Audit the source

Choose a sharp, complete image and list the visual facts that define it: subject, pose, camera angle, crop, text and geometry.

Match an example direction

Select one example below and adapt only its scene details. Keep the invariant language intact so the model knows the boundaries.

Review side by side

Check identity, silhouette, object count, text, scale and framing before judging the new mood. Regenerate at lower strength when an invariant moves.

Controlled recipes to try with your image

Each recipe separates what must stay from the one visual decision that may change.

Keep Subject and framingChange Sky, exposure and lights

Day to dusk

Shift the scene from late afternoon to blue-hour dusk with believable practical lights; keep the exact subject and camera position.

Keep All scene contentChange White balance and contrast

Warm to cool grade

Create a cooler cinematic grade with restrained blue shadows; preserve every object, skin tone detail and the original crop.

Keep People, vehicles, buildingsChange Weather and reflections

Clear to rainy

Add gentle rain, overcast light and realistic wet-ground reflections; do not add, remove or move any scene element.

Keep Person, pose and clothingChange Background only

Office to neutral studio

Replace the office background with a neutral light-gray studio and soft contact light; keep the person's face, pose, clothing and crop.

Keep Hero subject and layoutChange Small props and palette

Clean to festive

Create a restrained holiday variation with warm bokeh and minimal pine accents; keep the hero subject and composition dominant.

Keep Identity and silhouetteChange Rendering treatment

Photo to illustration

Convert the photo to a refined editorial illustration while preserving identity, silhouette, pose and exact framing.

Prompt examples

Copy one as a starting point, then change only the details that matter to your image.

  1. Create a golden-hour photo variation with warm side light and longer shadows; keep the same person, expression, pose, framing and background geometry.
  2. Make a clean editorial version with muted colors, soft contrast and subtle grain; preserve the exact crop and every object position.
  3. Create a winter variation with a restrained cool palette and light snow in the environment; do not change the subject, clothing or composition.
  4. Replace only the distant background with a bright modern studio; preserve subject edges, contact shadow, camera angle and scale.

Common problems and fixes

Use these checks before increasing change strength or adding more instructions.

Identity changes. Enable Face or Subject lock, remove age and expression language, and use Subtle strength.
Composition shifts. Enable Composition lock and repeat the exact camera angle, crop and object positions in the prompt.
The edit looks pasted on. Ask for matching light direction, edge spill, contact shadow and lens depth rather than only naming a background.
You cannot compare options. Keep settings constant and change one dimension per generation so each example answers a clear question.

Honest limits

What AI still gets wrong — and what we do about it

No “100% accurate” promises. Here's the truth, and the workaround.

Faces can drift at Creative strength. If it stops looking like you, drop to Balanced or Subtle — Face lock works hardest there.
Hands and fingers remain the hardest thing in AI imaging. Keep them out of the change region when you can.
Tiny text and fine logos may blur if they're not locked. Turn on Text & Logo lock — we composite the original pixels back.
Complex textures like lace, fur or micro-patterns can simplify. Subtle strength preserves them best.
Big scene swaps can nudge edges of the composition. Lock Composition and expect minor boundary shifts, not layout changes.
Failed generations happen. Timeouts and moderation blocks are labeled clearly and never consume your free quota.
FAQ

Questions, answered straight

It is an alternate treatment of a source photo that intentionally preserves selected facts such as subject, identity, pose, composition or crop.

Yes. Generate one controlled direction at a time, then compare outputs under the same lock and strength settings.

Relighting, color grading and simple background changes are usually easier to control than requests that also change pose, viewpoint and style.

Use a clear source, enable Face and Composition locks, avoid changing age or expression, and start at Subtle or Balanced strength.

No. Image models can make mistakes. Treat each example as a reproducible direction and inspect the output against the source.
