Free AI Stem Splitter
Separate any song into vocals, drums, bass and other — or vocals and instrumental — and download each stem as WAV. Free, no sign-up, processed on your device.
Need it as a video? Put the instrumental on a cover image with the MP3 to MP4 converter, or change the vocal with the voice changer.
Best-quality mode uses UVR-MDX-NET Inst HQ 4 by the Ultimate Vocal Remover team (MIT). Fast and 4-stem modes use Spleeter by Deezer (MIT), via ONNX exports from sherpa-onnx and Best-Practice (Apache-2.0). Keepframe is not affiliated with these projects.
Keepframe's stem splitter separates a song (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC up to 6 minutes for 4 stems) into vocals, drums, bass and other (guitar, piano, synths) with Deezer's Spleeter 4-stem model, or into vocals and instrumental with UVR-MDX-NET Inst HQ 4. Every stem downloads as a 44.1 kHz WAV, and the four stems add back up to the original mix. It runs in your browser, so it's free with no sign-up, no watermark and no upload.

FAQ
How do I split a song into stems for free?
Choose the song, keep 4 stems selected and click Separate. You get Vocals, Drums, Bass and Other, each with a player and a WAV download.
Which stems do I get?
4 stems: vocals, drums, bass and other (guitars, keys, synths, strings). 2 stems: vocals and instrumental, with a best-quality MDX-Net option.
Is the song uploaded?
No. Separation runs on your device with onnxruntime-web. The models download once (79 MB for 4 stems) and your audio never leaves the browser.
Do the stems add back up to the original?
Yes. Spleeter's masks sum to one, so the four stems mixed together reproduce the original song (we measured −145 dB difference). You can remix, mute or re-balance any part.
Which model is used?
Deezer's Spleeter 4-stem model (MIT), via an ONNX export by Best-Practice (Apache-2.0). Best-quality 2-stem mode uses UVR-MDX-NET Inst HQ 4 by the Ultimate Vocal Remover team (MIT).
Can it separate guitar or piano on their own?
Not yet — they stay together in Other. For 5–6 stems, the UVR desktop app with Demucs models is the free option.
How long does it take?
In our test, 4 stems of a 3-minute song took about 20 seconds in Chrome on a recent Mac. Older or low-power computers take longer; the page shows the time left.
