Real before & after

One real product, two campaign-ready photography directions

The set, surface and light change around a product whose silhouette, color and packaging remain the reference.

The control other tools hide

You don't pick a model. You pick what survives.

Most img2img tools give you one abstract “strength” slider. We turn it into decisions a human actually makes.

Keep — hard constraints

Locked items become model routing, region masks and post-composition — not just a sentence in the prompt.

  • Face — it's still the same person. Identity reference plus face-region protection.
  • Subject — the product, pet or object keeps its shape, logo and key details.
  • Composition — pose and layout stay put via structure and depth control.
  • Text & Logo — original pixels are preserved, never re-drawn by the model.

Change — creative freedom

One tap per intent. Each chip compiles into a structured instruction with the right negative constraints.

  • Style — anime, watercolor, film, 3D, oil paint and 40+ more.
  • Background — a new scene behind an untouched subject.
  • Outfit — swap clothing while the person stays the person.
  • Lighting — golden hour, studio, neon night, overcast.

Subtle

Light touch: tone, light, small edits. Routed to precise editing models.

Balanced

The default. Obvious change with stable identity and layout.

Creative

Big reimagining. Structure loosens — fine details may drift, on purpose.

Complete guide

Create AI product photography from one real product photo

Keepframe uses a reference-first AI product photography workflow for ecommerce teams, founders and marketers. Upload a clear product photo, lock the item plus brand text, then describe the studio or lifestyle scene you need. This is designed for producing ecommerce product photos and campaign concepts without asking AI to redesign the product itself.

What you can make

Ecommerce product photos

Turn a clean source into white, light-gray or softly styled listing images. Preserve proportions, material color and packaging so the result remains comparable to the actual item.

Lifestyle photography concepts

Place the same product in a kitchen, bathroom, travel or work setting to explore context before commissioning a full shoot.

Paid-social creative

Build vertical launch and seasonal scenes around a consistent hero product, leaving deliberate negative space for ad copy and platform crops.

How to get a controlled result

A three-step workflow for AI Product Photography

Prepare the product source

Use a sharp image with the whole item visible, minimal occlusion and readable front branding. A neutral background gives the cleanest reference edges.

Protect commercial details

Enable Subject and Text & Logo locks, select Background or Lighting, and begin at Balanced strength. Use Subtle for packaging with fine typography.

Write a photography brief

Specify surface, backdrop, prop restraint, light direction, shadow, camera feel and intended aspect ratio. Review product accuracy before using any result.

Ready-to-run directions

Controlled recipes to try with your image

Each recipe separates what must stay from the one visual decision that may change.

Keep Product and labelChange White set and shadow

Marketplace packshot

Create a pure white ecommerce packshot with even light and a soft contact shadow; preserve exact shape, color and packaging text.

Keep Jar and brand detailsChange Pedestal, props and light

Beauty campaign

Place the unchanged jar on a warm travertine pedestal with eucalyptus and soft morning light; keep the label legible.

Keep Package and proportionsChange Kitchen environment

Food lifestyle

Create a natural kitchen counter scene beside relevant ingredients and window light; keep all packaging and product dimensions unchanged.

Keep Product geometryChange Landscape and atmosphere

Outdoor launch

Create an outdoor launch visual on sunlit stone with a distant landscape; preserve the exact item, logo and camera angle.

Keep Device, ports and buttonsChange Backdrop and rim light

Dark technology set

Build a dark charcoal launch set with a precise blue rim light; keep device geometry, controls and markings unchanged.

Keep Construction and material colorChange Fabric set and lighting

Fashion editorial

Photograph the same accessory on sculpted neutral fabric with directional editorial light; preserve hardware and stitching.

Prompt examples

Copy one as a starting point, then change only the details that matter to your image.

  1. Create premium AI product photography on a warm stone pedestal with soft window light and restrained botanical props; preserve product, logo and label exactly.
  2. Make a clean ecommerce product photo on pure white with even softbox lighting and a natural contact shadow; keep dimensions and packaging unchanged.
  3. Place the same product in a believable bright kitchen lifestyle scene with shallow depth of field; do not redesign any product detail.
  4. Create a vertical paid-social launch visual with dramatic rim light and clean copy space above; exact product centered in the lower third.

Common problems and fixes

Use these checks before increasing change strength or adding more instructions.

Packaging lettering changes. Use Text & Logo lock, lower strength and keep the label facing the same direction as the source.
The product is redesigned. Remove words such as futuristic or reimagined and explicitly preserve silhouette, dimensions, color and components.
Lifestyle scale looks wrong. Describe the surface and nearby props at a believable scale, and use a source with the complete item visible.
Images feel generic. Name one coherent material palette, light source, lens feel and customer context instead of adding many unrelated props.

Honest limits

What AI still gets wrong — and what we do about it

No “100% accurate” promises. Here's the truth, and the workaround.

Faces can drift at Creative strength. If it stops looking like you, drop to Balanced or Subtle — Face lock works hardest there.
Hands and fingers remain the hardest thing in AI imaging. Keep them out of the change region when you can.
Tiny text and fine logos may blur if they're not locked. Turn on Text & Logo lock — we composite the original pixels back.
Complex textures like lace, fur or micro-patterns can simplify. Subtle strength preserves them best.
Big scene swaps can nudge edges of the composition. Lock Composition and expect minor boundary shifts, not layout changes.
Failed generations happen. Timeouts and moderation blocks are labeled clearly and never consume your free quota.
FAQ

Questions, answered straight

It uses an image model and a real product reference to create alternate studio or lifestyle scenes. The source product should remain the accuracy benchmark.

Yes. You can request white, neutral or contextual listing images, but check each marketplace's current image requirements before publishing.

Text & Logo lock improves consistency, but fine lettering can still change. Inspect all branding at full resolution and use a lower strength when needed.

Your first generation is free with no sign up and no watermark.

Yes if you own the source image, product and relevant brand rights. You remain responsible for accuracy and advertising claims.
